I was very fortunate in obtaining an AUSAID scholarship to study in Australia.  My knowledge about Australia as a safe and attractive study destination and as a provider of world-class tertiary education makes it a perfect country for me to choose to study. It is a country of a diverse culture where I have had the opportunity to learn interactively with students of different cultural backgrounds. Holmesglen is one of the largest TAFE Institutes and employers value its graduates for the combination of theoretical and practical experiences.

The teaching curriculum used in Holmesglen is the best. I found the teachers to be very helpful and very well qualified. Some of the subjects I studied are very familiar to what I was taught in my country - PNG. In my course I loved the subjects such as soils and nutrition, plant propagation, tree care and plant protection the most because they are related to my field of expert as a Cocoa  Researcher.

Learning to manage my time has enabled me to excel at my studies. I received the 2008 Achieve ment Award from the Horticulture department. It’s the greatest achievement in my entire life especially at an international level.

I am very much looking forward to returning to Papua New Guinea so that I can put all the skills and knowledge that I have learnt into my day to day work. Australia was the perfect study destination.
